About Jennifer Mu

Jennifer is a highly experienced and accomplished teacher and is a theory examiner for two of the largest music examination boards: the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music and Trinity College London. Whether you want to play in your spare time or become a professional musician, Jennifer will structure your lessons to achieve your personal goals. She has a lot of experience with preparing students for concerts and scholarship auditions and her success in both the practical and theoretical fields of music have allowed her students to excel in all aspects of music.

Jennifer read music at King’s College London, graduating with a First Class Honours and was simultaneously awarded the Licentiate of the Royal Academy of Music Teaching Diploma. She was offered a scholarship to continue her studies at the Royal Academy of Music, where she was awarded the Cork Award, Henry Dixon Scholarship from the Drapers’ Company and the Joseph Bloch Award. She finished her Master of Arts, aged twenty-two and has two diplomas from the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music.

Jennifer has been teaching the piano, violin, viola and music theory for 14 years. She has taught at a number of institutes such as the Royal Academy of Music for King's College London, Sacred Heart High School, L'Ecole Internationale Franco-Anglais, Latymer Upper School Saturday Music Centre, Barrow Hill Junior School and Good Shepherd Primary School.
